I was recently rereading the section of Liber Kaos concerning this and came across the part where it says that each magician sees the colour of magick differently. Now Carroll says each magician is supposed to discover this for him or herself but doesn't say how. Is the colour octarine the color one is most easily able to visualize or what?
I guess the best way is just what you feel confortable with I kinda see it as orange but thats through me being unable to think of anything else when I see the word octarine
Read Terry Pratchett's awesome novel and first tale in the discworld saga "The Color of Magic" for his take on octarine. After all Mr.Pratchett was the one to coin the term and as P.J.C. says "Many a useful thing is said in jest."
My octarine is a pale blue light, tinged with violet. I use it for a lot of stuff, including rewiring my brain when it's not working right, and when trying to talk to the aliens.
