Has anyone heard about pragmatic meditation? As I figure it, it´s related with Jesuits, and it oriental mysticism and castanedian mysticism without the religious-shamanic contents… I would appreciate if someone has further info on this…

Could you say a little more?

Im quite familiar with Jesuit spirituality but have not come across this term.

Is it part of the Spiritual Exercises?

ahhh, well, a bit of context, first. I live in Guadalajara Mexico. A friend studies in a private university handled by jesuits. Last saturday we were talking about some philosophy conferences she had attended. Then she asked me: what do you know about pragmatic meditation? Since I am a philosopher by formation... well I asked her if she was joking...
She obviously answered that she was not joking, that several of her teachers practiced it... bits of meditation and chakras, simplified.
So later, I googled the concept in spanish and english, I didn´t find anything specific in english, and two pages in spanish:
here
and here
So, no I do not think it´s part of the spiritual exercizes... most likely it´s an alternate practice done by some of the more... "alternative" ones... and I was fishing for some more info on this..
