What is this Morrison/Millar feud?

In spirit of the Morrison/Moore feud thread I say we should have a Morrison/Millar feud thread. I seem to remember something about George ghostwriting an issue of Authority for Millar and something happening which ended their partnership/friendship. I'm pretty sure I used to know what happened but have since forgotten. A refresher anyone?

Alls I know is prurient comics hack Rich Johnston said they fell out. Grant still gives kudos to the Ultimates at most available opportunities. Millar? Well, there's that bit in a recent ish of said where Iron Man says a fish looks like Ernest Borgnine - like Chubby fae Seaguy. He said that character was not his fave on his mb.

Real question: Is Ultimates #1 better or worse than ASS #1? I think it's maybe better.

truth is, millar stole grant's blank comic - the one that writes its own stories - and has been using it to churn out shite like ultimate cockhammer etc.

but did you know:

grant based the glaswegian whale at the end of Xmen on millar's gay(ish) grandad, which obviously led to the borgnine comments, re: chubby.

also, duncan, you are wrong (not right) about ulties 1 v ASS 1.

ulties 1 was a bit shite. a bit 'war comic' IMO.

whereas ASS was nice n' spongey, a 'proper' fantasy.

tho ulties 1 was more innovative in its delivery method. (black gutters, lower case bubbles, amazing double spreads al la bit tired now, but new at the time)

If anything, ASS is letdown by adverts. (espesh that batman one)
