No shit huh? 23 fucking sucks, i recently turned 23, and I feel like I am over the edge, I really think that 23 is the worst of the twenties, turning 21 was great, and being 22 was not half bad and the bliss of being able to drink beers in public was still rather new.

But now at 23 the 'new car' smell of 21 has faded... 23, the reality of the rest of my life is finally starting to settle in. Oh shit...

I am 39. On the cusp. 23: a good year, in my recollection.

Be happy! My main advice: Do try not to be as full of angst as I was throughout my 20s.

So, well, whatever! Life goes on, and I hear the 40s are great, for most (middle class) women, anyway. I'm looking forward to it.

So far, my birthday has indeed been a slam dunk. As I'm away from home on my birthday for the first time in 23 years, I wasn't sure what to expect. But I should have known a group of gradaute students can make birthdays as fun (if not...FUNNER) than anyone.

Well said! I'd feel slighted had these years not been filled with the occasional angst-ridden periods.

Day 2 is going fairly well, so I think this bodes well for a good 23rd year. Still, there's 363 more days to screw that up.
