Bush assassination attempt May 05

CNN's report today about the man who threw a grenade at Bush and the Georgian president in May threw me for a second. I never heard that this incident was actually an assassination attempt.

First it was reported that an old dummy grenade was found on the ground near Bush.

Then it was reported that the grenade was actually live.

Does it strike anyone else that the sequence of details released have been designed to downplay that this was an assassination attempt? I'm trying not to see a conspiracy here, but it fits with the way the administration tends to try and project the image that people love and appreciate Bush the world over.

i figured they were trying to play up something that wasn't an assination attempt. Dummy grenade becomes real grenade that the amazing Bush escaped from.

Its not much of a stretch though to imagine somebody throwing an actual grenade at the bastard, so really it could have gone either way.

I disagree, Kirk Ultra. Well, I think he was definitely trying to kill somebody. Whether he was targeting Bush or the Georgian president I do not know. He killed a Georgian police officer and shot another one when they tried arresting him. That seems like a pretty determined individual to me.
