Hey Guys:

I had a grand time at the last London Barb meetup at the Princess. I head back to America on December 18 and was wondering if anyone was interested in getting together over pints before then. It would be great if we could have another Wednesday nite meetup for beer and talking bollocks. Let me know...

Sounds good to me...

Anyone up for meeting this Wednesday? Or Tuesday? I'm on leave this week, and don't have to get up for school in the morning.

Depending how work and/or my horrible cold are going, I could be tempted this week. Next week I'll have no problem.

Tuesdays are generally better for me, but not this week unfortunately which is already overwhelmingly fucked and it's only monday...

I could do a swift couple on Tuesday (29th) between 7 and 9ish. Particularly if central.

Likely to be around town centre then. You suggest somewhere, Smoothly, and I'll be there.

Ooh, gosh, I’m scared to. Who’s coming? I feel cheeky nominating a venue when I’m not in for the long haul. Somewhere in/near Covent Garden would make it more doable for me though. So I’d be tempted to suggest The Green Man and French Horn which can normally accommodate a handful of people.
Or The Crown, Seven Dials. Which is cosier, but relatively cheap.

But if JIOM is on for this and fancies the Princess Louise again, that could work for me.

Is this tonight? I can't do wednesdays, but I had made provisional plans to meet up with Trouser the Trouserian for a beer tonight in the general Covent Garden area, so tonight is good for me.

The Blue Posts on Newman Street is very central, and only just off Oxford Street...

I'd quite like to try the Green Man and French Horn. Me and Xoc have had some unexpected good luck, and may be heading out for a celebratory dinner, but I'll certainly try to get an earlyish pint in first.

Ganesh

Agh. Actually, any pintiness may be late or not at all. Have just booked a 6pm dinner date...

Green Man also looks nice.

Not gonna make today, unfortunately- being bitten by a radioactive winter has turned me into the Amazing Mucus Boy. And I have to work.

If you have any more boozage afore ye go, Doc, I promise I'll try harder.

Looks like work is going to scupper this for me too. Withdraw me from your considerations for this one, and I’ll try harder next time.

waaay to busy for anything right atm, am in the middle of a marking maelstrom and have not had a day off for over 2 weeks now. if i am not dead or hospitalised by friday there's a vague chance i'll try and catch Seth at the Spice of Life in Soho, maybe.

Ok, well since I'm just reading this now I guess I won't be there...

Would anyone like to get together at a pub on the 14th of December? It's a Wednesday...

Jub

that sounds like a definite maybe.

Our Lady Has Left the Building
11:13 / 01.12.05
Yeah, I could probably make it if the drinking starts early, say around 5:00 pm, but would have to be leaving early due to work commitments the next day... I'll bear it in mind and get back to you at the start of that week...

Working again that week, unfortunately... however, now it's near Christmas the news should be getting progressively stupider, so I may not be working particularly hard, and may be able to get away with a swift couple before heading to the office.

What do people say for location and time on this?

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK

I doubt I'm gonna make it- I have to be awake for part of the day today, and I'm also not sure about leaving the house without cover of darkness until my face stops looking quite so mashed up. BUT... I may manage it nonetheless.

08:28 / 14.12.05
Dang it! I can NOT make it, unfortunately. Especially annoying as I work literally around the corner from The PL.

Have fun kids!

I'll come for a couple.

Alex's Grandma

Should be along at about Eight, Eight Thirty.

And Stoat, on balance, I think that you probably should display your war wounds for the kids. It's Christmas, after all.

It's Christmas.

I'm going. See you all about 7:30.

Come on, Stoatie. We might need a face like yours to clear a table.

I'll be there about 7. I hope the upstairs is open.

God oh god is it only 4.45?

15:09 / 14.12.05
I'll see if I can make it. Only I have to wait for one thing to run before I can run another thing before I go, and it's still bloody running even though I set it going at 10pm last night.

Shouldn't really take more than another hour though. Really.

this is the one in Holborn right?
