I want to speak!

I was wondering if anyone could advise me on setting up voice software for use in gameplay. The game I am specifically thinking about is Guild Wars (if that makes any difference) where people seem to be using Ventrilo and Teamspeak. I go to the websites...and that seems ok except that, if I've understood this correctly, I also have to set up a server to which all the clients connect. This seems like a pain. Are there any free server options available? Even with different software?

Teamspeak is pretty good. Only one person need to run the server and then give the IP address and password to all members of the group. I think it`s free for calls up to 5 people. If you don`t want the hassle of setting up a server just use the client software.
Also check out skype. Free internet to internet phone calls with a conference option. This uses the skype servers so is better if you all have bandwidth problems.
I`m waiting for the day when we get built in positional VOIP. So I can sneak up behind someone and shout BOOO.
(btw is GW any good? ... only ever played EQ)
