here's an idea for a computer program:

when using a computer, the computer presents to the user some "visualization instructions". for example, when creating some piece of information, the computer may say, 'visualize this, click to begin', and it displays a sigil that the user focuses on for a time (ex: 5 seconds). the assumption is that the information becomes "more powerful or energetic", and easier to recognize at a later time. blends the internet with the collective unconscious?

I'm asking that this be moved from the Laboratory to the Temple; I think it'll get a warmer welcome and more useful input there.

meta null, would you mind elaborating on your idea a little? Specifically, how would the sigil be generated--would it be some random figure or would it relate to the information in some way? How would you define "more powerful or energetic" in this context--more memorable, perhaps? How would focusing on a visual cue for a short time period achieve this?

Thanks, MC and mods.

Here's what I was wondering. Given the fact that when my computer tells me I have to wait for a few seconds before I can continue with whatever I'm working on, my feelings on the matter range from mild irritation to the temptation to throw the thing out a fucking window, what flavor of "psychic impression" or resonance or whatever would the user be impressing upon the sigil? Would that be beneficial at all?

Also, looking at certain monitors can be dangerous for the eyes. Is there a clear advantage over paper to nullify this negative?

I like the concept, possibly because I spend most of my day on the computer.

But I have to ask, only half-jokingly, what ramifications there'd be if the magickal OS had a Blue Screen Of Death?
