I'm loving the CD. I was going to buy it for me ma, see above, but I got for myself. I listened to it for the first time while writing a paper, and I just bounced through the entire CD. During some of the tunes, I want to run around the house a la Hugh Grant in Love, Actually.
Riiiiiight.
That being said, I am not loving the video for Sorry. It just doesn't do it for me. It makes me think of a cross between the video for Music and the video she did directed by Ritchie. The one about girls. Whatever it was called. Lousy song, lousy video. The Ritchie one, I mean.

It was curiously directed by Jamie King- Madonna's Choreographer/ stage show director.

As it was his first attempt at a video he had A LOT to live up to- and inevitably failed. It's meant to follow on from Hung Up although it seemed to miss any of the Scandi cool elements that Renck gave Hung Up in favour of more Granny in lycra, cheesey pseudo comedy bits.

Ah well lets see what the next one brings... its a shame the David Lachapelle collaboration never happened because i think it would have been fun. Any directors you would like to see work with Madonna? Michel Gondry would be very very cool- but would he want to?

Isaac is a definite classic. Has a very "Eastern" tinge to it, with a male vocalist warbling beautifully. Price's production is immaculate (ha) on this particular track. Will return. Maybe do a really close study of the album, a la Petey Shaftoe.

Anything with the word 'American' in the title was pretty bad.

Agreed, Flyboye. The video in which she politely edited to avoid any controversy was, for me anyway, the absolute lowest point of her career. C'mon, Madge, get your head in the game.

I can't remember who it was, I think Sypha Nadon, in the Best of 2005 thread who stated that Forbidden Love and Jump were the stand out tracks for him. I totally agree. Push and the I feel Love-pastiche Future Lovers are a couple of my own. I'd explain why but time is not so kind, and off I must be.
