In general, I prefer to use the regular word spelling... Context should generally make it pretty clear as to which meaning you mean. As a friend of mine once said, "I don't recall many accounts of Crowley pulling a string of flags out of a kid's ear at a birthday party."

In regards to your original question... if you're periodically re-feeding the spell, so to speak, why are you surprised that it's continuing to function well? It's not taking on a life of its own, it's just continuing with more fuel from you.
Of course, the title of the thread could make another interesting point... how thin IS the line between an extended spell and a servitor? Has anyone fed a spell long enough for it to develop a personality without you explicitly intending it to? |
