Selling Comic Books

Does anyone have any suggestions for selling comic books on-line? E-bay doesn't seem to be the best route around because comics don't seem to go for much on there.

(sorry if this post should be somewhere else, and I'm not doing this to get you all to buy my comics. I just want a good way to unload them and hopefully make a few bucks.)

Thanks,
Jared

The reason they don't sell well on eBay is because the back issue market is horridly flooded. Key books and books that are slabbed still sell to collectors, but your run of X-Men or Spider-Man from the 90's isn't goign to get a lot of interest because there were tons of them printed, and nwo the market is much smaller. And for more modern comics, you can get them in a trade paperback for the bost part, so people aren't looking for back issues.

I'd put them on eBay and see what you get, or try and get trade from them at a local comic shop.

And with Marve's new "Comics on DVD" program, I can see where back issues sell to a smaller and smaller audience who are either hard core collectors or investors.

I've got a laid-back approach - I've listed them all on my website (fish1000.biz), but to be honest they don't fly off the shelves (or out of my loft). Once in a while though someone will take some off my hands for £50 or so. It's surprising what sells sometimes, which is why I've listed everything I'm getting rid of. I'd stress again, this approach only works if you're not in a hurry.

If you want to take this approach, its easy enough to create a website at no cost on Blogger.
