For those of us who can't make it, how do we get ahold of the single anyway?

mondo a-go-go
14:28 / 03.11.05
I am so there. Am not going to wear bells, though.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
15:39 / 03.11.05
I may wear bells, though it seems unlikely, to be fair.

Mon Oncle Ignatius
21:16 / 03.11.05
Hmmm, bells. I don't think I have any. How about a gong?

Oh, yes, and I will be there, surprisingly enough!

Lilly Nowhere Late
07:06 / 04.11.05
~Well I have a bell and might just wear it. Don't forget to mention that your support is the inimitable group Owls, with jingle jangle gypsy pirate campfire magic. Will be a fantastic party indeed.

Mono
11:13 / 05.11.05
for now, we're only selling the single at gigs, but will probably sell it via the website soemtime soon.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
22:06 / 05.11.05
Can't you hang around outside schools and sell it there?

Hey, it worked for crack...

Lilly Nowhere Late
20:15 / 10.11.05
Just bumping this up as it's almost time. Do you think anyone wil cover "Hell's Bells"? I'd sort of like to see Mono sing that.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
07:33 / 11.11.05
That would indeed be \m/. Although I think Ring The Bells by Leonard Cohen would be more likely.

Regrettable Juvenilia
07:44 / 11.11.05
Will definitely be attending this.

Gypsy Lantern
08:05 / 11.11.05
What time will you be on stage? I might not be able to get there till 9:30-10pm... Will I have missed you play by then?

Lilly Nowhere Late
09:13 / 11.11.05
Just to get the answer in, the stage times now seem to be sort of 9pm for Owls, 10 for Morning Bride. So GL, you should be fine for time. But hurry up!

Gypsy Lantern
10:23 / 11.11.05
Cool, I reckon I'll be able to make it for 10.

Mono
12:39 / 11.11.05
super. duper.

i'm starting to get nervous now. no one is allowed to make funny facs at me while i'm singing, okay?

and i think that this will be the first MB gig without a cover song!

Evil Scientist
12:47 / 11.11.05
What's the nearest station/tube? I may saunter along under cover of darkness.

Gypsy Lantern
12:58 / 11.11.05
What's the nearest station/tube?

Ha! Stoke Newington has no need for your new fangled "tube stations"

Regrettable Juvenilia
14:20 / 11.11.05
It does have a train station though.

w1rebaby
14:46 / 11.11.05
If anyone can't manage to be there with bells on, might I suggest a cherry on top instead?

Lilly Nowhere Late
15:06 / 11.11.05
You'll want to check your A-Z to save me writing paragraphs of ridiculous directions. It's quite easy to get to but hard to explain. I just bought a new dress and yelled at the guy who runs the venue. It's going to be fun! Can everyone please dis the artwork hanging around? Except for Adrian of course.

Ooh Lilly, were you yelling at Mr Stoned-and-Paranoid or at Mr Too-Stoned-to-Care?

Evil Scientist, you can get a train from Liverpool Street to Stoke Newington station, which is on Stamford Hill. If you cross the street and walk up the hill, you'll come to Manor Road very quickly.

Alternatively, you can get a 73 or a 476 bus from Euston, Kings Cross or Angel which should take between 15-35mins, depending on where you board and on traffic. They also stop on Stamford Hill. You should get off more-or-less opposite the station. You'll know if you've gone too far because you'll have passed Manor Road and reached the Safeways, so get off there instead and walk back down the hill.

The Others is in a room above a pool hall, which is not immediately obvious. Some of us you'll have seen photos of, so we probably will be more immediately obvious. And I'll probably be wearing red trousers.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
21:55 / 11.11.05
I'll be wearing trousers of some sort, as well. Spiky bleached-blonde hair, glasses, a bunch of piercings, and I imagine clothes in some shade or other of black. I'll probably be holding some kind of drink.

Mon Oncle Ignatius
08:45 / 12.11.05
To add to Anna's directions, here's a map, and The Others is easy to get to by rail from Liverpool Street to Stoke Newington Station or on buses 67, 73, 76, 106 (stops right outside, a 10-15min ride from Finsbury Park underground), 149, 243, 393 and 476.

Stoatie:

I'll probably be holding some kind of drink.

A pink one?

Lilly:

Can everyone please dis the artwork hanging around? Except for Adrian of course.

For reference, Adrian's is the artwork above the bar. It's good.

Also, isn't it a new exhibition now though since the Drones Club double-booking experience?

As for identifying me, I'll be with Lilly or Stoatie or Anna or any other Barbelithbarians I know who are there. Alternately there is a picture of me here, but hopefully I won't look so drunk. Oh, and I doubt I'll be wearing the shawl either this time.

Please don't hate me, Mono, but I can't make it tonight. If it makes you feel any better, I'm currently listening to the stuff you've got on the website and am now really (and rightfully) jealous and pissed off.

I shall keep an eye out (and badger Stoatie (wow, can you verb-animal a noun-animal? Well I just did anyway) IRL for information) for the next time Morning Bride grace the London stage.

Excellent, excellent luck!

badger Stoatie

Ah, if only you knew! Or you might anyway, about the Badger-Stoatie connection.

Well wasn't that a spiffy night! Thanks to everyone for a great time and to Morning Bride and Owls for a great show.
Nothing beats a fantastic new pair of shoes!

Agreed. That was a fantastic night. Mono, your bands great! Gonna go and have alisten to that CD now! Cheers!

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK

That was indeed cool, but boy do I feel shit today. Usually the sign of a good night...

Mon Oncle Ignatius
09:26 / 13.11.05
What fun indeed, and somehow an excellent lark to dress up in a suit to complement Lilly's new dress and shoes. MB and Owls were fab, and good to see a line of Barbelithbarians taking up half the front row by the end of the show.

We carried on well into the night on a raft of the MB single on repeat at least twice (well, it's the first time it's been played out on a PA in a venue, y'see) and much skatastic skanking to follow.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
10:11 / 13.11.05
And of course the guy who got kicked out hanging around outside yelling about the place being full of people in Throbbing Gristle T-shirts...

...as the only person in there, as far as I'm aware, who was actually wearing one, I feel I've garnered a certain amount of fame there...

Lilly Nowhere Late
17:53 / 13.11.05
There there, don't let it all go to your head. Stoatie I mean with the TG fame and all. I'm so tired! I've had so many people saying to me how they only got so many hours sleep. I've. Had. None. I know, my own fault for having a child and letting her get a bad cold and also for having to work, etc. but damn. I'm so tired...

Best one I've had in yeats!

Wasn't the last time around Easter 1916? Somewhere on the Lake Isle of Innisfree?
