This is sort of related to the thread over at the Lab about a pill to make you smarter... Has anyone tried to sigilize for intelligence? What have your results been? Since it's a mental thing it should work even if you believe that magic is just a subliminal motivational trick. So whether it magically promotes the growth of neurons (which may or may not be possible without magic) or whether it subconsciously makes you more "open minded", helps you focus, steers your towards certain books, and improves memory... you should see results.

Probably worth picking apart which aspect of intelligence you’re after (there were seven last I heard). And then maybe sigilise for improved – whatever – memory recall in a particular situation or spatial awareness. At least, assuming sigils only work for fairly specific things.
Interestingly, that’s what I’ve found. Also had more success with trying an indirect approach- like sigilising to meet someone who could tell you that specific bit of information that might help you become a better singer/fire-eater/whatever. It’s a bit like knowing what to type into a search engine to get what yer after (someone advised me recently – think it was the wise Mrs Carnival)

I sigilized for a characteristic I call "high immortality" which is immortality and a bunch of other things including intelligence. It didn't work.
