Anybody heard West Sounds by Lushlife? A few month's old but I've only just discovered it, and can't find any previous discussion.
Mashed up Pet Sounds and College Dropout (plus a track from Late Registration), with a few extra bits thrown in.
First thing for me was the obvious comparison to The Grey Album, offered for free on the net, mixing up a pop-rapper with a classic, critic's delight album.
It'd be interesting to hear opinions, especially since this is effectively cutting up one of the "best albums ever made"
So a perversion? Inspired? An inspired perversion?
Me, I think it's quite good. Best track at the moment is the reworking of The New Workout Plan with Wouldn't it be Nice. |
