Anyone have any particular methods? Anything that works best to burn? Anyone say any incantations while divinating? I'm new to pyromancy, so I'm looking for pointers.

Flaming football...wrap a couple of kitchen towel rolls (the whole lot) into a ball and then wrap a ton of selltotape round - or gaffer tape but this can turn into napalm like stuff if not careful - then liberally douse in petrol. Get ten or more (drunk) people and an open park. Divide people into two teams. Light football and play five a side (without the height restriction rule). Watch to see the first person to head the ball.

More seriously, the best fire divinations I've done have involved just sitting staring into a wood based open fire. Good meditative practice and enhanced with 'shroom tea.

Since I saw this thread I've been thinking about sitting in front of a candle and asking closed-ended questions (yes/no, will the outcome be generally positive or negative if I... etc.), and reading the response in the flame's lengthening or guttering. Haven't tried it yet, but it seems suitably randomized, as well as spooky, to try this Samhain.
