Depends on what sort of group you're aiming to found. Something permenant and long-lasting or a temporary alliance of like-minded persons with a similiar goal?

It also depends on what sort of magic you're aiming to practice together.

yeah, a temp alliance- I think we just want to paddle out + catch a couple of waves, see what kind of ride we get.

given that we'll probably do 2 hours, I was hinking we'd structure it like a BJJ or capoeira class- an hour of work, an hour of games.

figure 1st week- breathing exercises, then a little ouija.

Make sure they are people you feel comfortable with and can chill out with. If you only want to paddle out and catch some waves ensure that everyone involved will get into the spirit of things and won't get obsessive. Trust your gut on this one. The number shouldn't really matter, although if you want to make sure everything is *right* look at numerology and see which number has appropriate associations for what you seek.

For my own experience I would say the more auspicious numbers to form a "circle" is 5 or 7.

Five encompasses the traditional elements, fire, water, air, earth and spirit, together they conform a whole, a unity, a harmony of energies.

Seven is the combination of three, the number of the Holy Trinity (as hermetics viewed it), or Macrocosm; and four, the numbre of men, or Microcosm. Together they form the harmony between the universe and the soul thus making a whole again, the perfect balance.

Well, you must find by your own how to bond them and the rituals you will perform, I say there's a grupal work.
