ladyfest brighton is a full-featured get-together for all of y'all looking out for female artists and bigging up identity politics. i know various members of the organizing committee (including our own plums) and seems to me that they've done a really good job of putting together a wholly inclusive programme of events that promises to be both provocative and, y'know, fun. details of various shows etc on the website - i'll certainly be attending the art show, probably the electrelane gig, probably the sunday dayfest...

anyone else planning to attend? certainly, this cd lead to another righteous barbemeet - and londoners are more than welcome besides... there's always a spare room/floor/cell in brighton!

Bless ye for the plug, i'd've done it meself but have been too hectic.

It *is* looking aces, many great bands including Electrelane, Miz Fontaine, Valerie, Afrirampo, Spider and the Webs, an amazing array of workshops including Band Photography, Female Ejaculation (women-only and mixed, bring your boy and enjoy), clubnights with the lovely LadyfestDJs, art show featuring 18 artists culled from here, there and everywhere, a weekend-long film festival... running at venues all over Brighton, check the website above for details or shout me if you want to buy tix
