Do you guys have any concept of how great a time I had with all of you? It was great meeting you. Thanks for showing me around, Strix. [wink]
It was a great night to end the trip on. In contrast to the other nights, I actually felt like there was a good chance of seeing the people I'd met again after saying goodbye. The other nights in Montreal I made connections with people I never got the chance to say goodbye to, and would never be able to look up again. I met some locals, too, and every time, we would end without breaking the invisible you-don't-live-here-so-i-guess-we-
-don't-swap-numbers-and-for-some-reason-a-one-night-stand-wouldn't-work-either barrier.
But you guys were different - it was kinda planned, and it was a warm welcome. I didn't wanna leave! I wanna go back!
I seriously contemplated the idea of becoming an illegal immigrant bum, Morgan, but chickened out and got on the plane. And now here I am back in the North London flat ugh-ing over the thought of returning to the office tomorrow.
I've met a few UK lithers before but have never been to an actual barbemeet. That was my first one. Strange how I have to go across the Atlantic to take part in the barbeloving and here I've been in London all this time. I should go represent ore locally eventually, shouldn't I?
Rage! Oi! Where were ya!? You missed out.
Cheers, gorgeous Montreal people. You rock. I wanna be your groupie. Shall I come live with you, then? |
