I'm looking for academic texts I can use to quote bits of for degree-level work, and I figured that a) other people on here might also find such stuff useful and b) might know where to find it!

There's a mountain of crap on the net. Where (if they exist) are like, the proper literary criticisms etc?

Do you know about jstor? It's only available from within participating academic domains, so you might want to check that yours is on the list -I had a quick look however, and it looks quite comprehensive so you'll probably be okay!

Try Humbul for pointers - it's not a resource in itself, but does review and link to web resources and is reasonably comprehensive (I think - but I use it for history, no idea what the lit stuff is like).
