Our Lady Has Left the Building
17:25 / 09.10.05
We haven't had one of those 'meeting up on a day when we don't actually have to work' days for a while now. What say you fellows?

Regrettable Juvenilia
18:56 / 09.10.05
Am playing a few records between bands at this music mini-festival in Brighton, I'm afraid.

Some hair of the dog after this may indeed be a nice idea...

20:22 / 10.10.05

Will you be in Brighton, Bill? If so, see above!

Alex's Grandma
01:14 / 12.10.05
I don't mean to talk out of turn here, (and I know I shouldn't be saying this,) but AS I UNDERSTAND IT, Bill P is trying out for the Olympic team!!!

And the word is 'good!'

11!

06:08 / 12.10.05
I too will be out of town. How about we dig a deep channel and divert the course of this thread to the following Sunday?

Our Lady Has Left the Building
13:37 / 12.10.05
Sadly the 23rd is no good for me, so how does the 30th sound?

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
15:06 / 12.10.05
23rd no good for me either... 30th could be a goer.

06:28 / 13.10.05
I'll cast a vote for the 30th and I think that under the Crawthew & Blake rules makes that an official barbemeet. Failure to attend will bring a curse on both your houses.

And they told me you could shoehorn that into a normal conversation.

> Alex, alas, i have to have surgery on a tendon injury and my quest to win a gold for my beloved country is hanging in the balance atm.

> Fly, possibly, but it's slightly tendentious due to my tendon.

> all, yeesh, teh 30th shd be jolly good for me too.

Our Lady Has Left the Building
16:26 / 13.10.05
Right, now where to have it, the George is out because the insides are too pokey when it's cold, but what's the name of that pub down the road that we went to when we were at the George and it started raining?

Or shall we say 'fuck it' and try to take over The Plough again?

Regrettable Juvenilia
18:22 / 18.10.05
Can I suggest the Golden Lion in King's Cross? It is a) always empty on a Sunday afternoon, b) very near lots of bus and tube routes, and c) also near the station where I will be arriving back from the Midlands that day...

Our Lady Has Left the Building
19:54 / 18.10.05
That was where we went to see football that time isn't it? Would work for me...

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
21:29 / 18.10.05
Do they show football on Sunday afternoons? Cos that would suck...

Regrettable Juvenilia
21:47 / 18.10.05
Football in that case = Euro 2000, so it's not a regular thing for them to have it on the big screen, with volume. It's sometimes on a smaller screen in the background. I suppose the likelihood of it intruding depends on if there's anything major on, but I know nothing about that kind of thing. Haus or GGM might be the ones to ask...

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
00:31 / 19.10.05
Ah, that sounds better. When Lady said went there "to watch football" I had visions of the place being packed solid on a Sunday afternoon with people drinking Stella.

Kit-Cat Club
09:46 / 19.10.05
Sunday 30th is probably not going to be good for me (or Mr I) as we are hoping to visit my aged grandparent...

Our Lady Has Left the Building
17:01 / 19.10.05
Bring 'em along. Especially if they knew the Krays in the 60s. That would rock.

Alex's Grandma

I had visions of the place being packed on a Sunday afternoon

I have been to the Golden Lion fairly often, more often than I'd care to tell, and in the Golden Lion, it is fair to say, I think, though I don't want to ruin their business or anything, or, paradoxically, do anything much to encourage it either, that... well let's put it this way, you can always get a table.

And they have Mexican beer there!

It is, in many ways, a very great pub.

Mon Oncle Ignatius
18:22 / 19.10.05
We (as in the Stella Maris drone orchestra) may well be rehearsing in King's Cross on Sunday 30th October - finishing around 9pm. Maybe I (or even we) might try to drop by afterwards.

Alex's Grandma
19:51 / 19.10.05
Well I think you should.

pointless & uncalled for
07:35 / 20.10.05
Apparently this is the day that my sister has decided to have one of her manky little sprogs dipped in holy water and declared a full and proper hoomin in the eyes of The Great Destroyer.

Hopefully I'll escape the foul litanies before my soul becomes concatenated with that of a rabid badger in penance for being myself and generally having a good time. Thus I hope to arrive before too late in the evening, if not pray for me.

I'll be there for the afternoon, then I'll be buggering off to see KMFDM and Panic DHH (assuming there are tickets left).

Our Lady Has Left the Building
08:36 / 26.10.05
OK, will be aiming to get there between 2:00 and 3:00...

Tryphena Absent
10:20 / 26.10.05
There's no way we're going to get there before 5pm.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
20:11 / 26.10.05
Apparently Panic DHH are on-stage at about 8:30 so I'll probably head down around four-ish. (And I can't be late to the gig cos one of my mates is their new drummer).

Goodness Gracious Meme
22:41 / 26.10.05
Sorry, no can do. Have a good one.

Our Lady Has Left the Building
16:38 / 27.10.05
OK, will be sloping down, up or along a bit later then...

Our Lady Has Left the Building
17:52 / 29.10.05
Don't forget...
