I'm going to go through a week of paranoia starting on the 1st. Mostly, the plan is to remain alert with the idea that something terrible is on the horizon. Any suggestions on how I might make the paranoia sharper, more defined, and more educational? Any rituals that might keep me from being too calm about the whole thing?

Um.......why would you want to induce such strong paranoia and essentially ask the universe for something horrible to happen to you? (since you said 'with the idea that something terrible is on the horizon')

How will this be potentially educational for you? I'm not trying to sound snide, I genuinely don't understand the benefit of such an exercise.

Paranoia is it's own reward, as a wisened man once told me.

The key is being mistrustful of everything and everyone. Look the gift horse in the mouth because it might be full of Trojans, that sort of thing. If you're constantly on the alert for disaster, you won't be suprised when disaster strikes (paranoia and cynicism go together like shotguns and tequila, y'all).

Depending on what you wish to learn from the whole experience, you'll either see snipers in every window or will come across some feral, oft repressed animal instinct. Either way, the outcome is rarely for the best in a long-term scenario, but it can be interesting in the short-term.

What are you looking at me that way for?

device. I was astounded at what I saw after I was asked
to "view" and detail re. this earth change map. The
detail is fairly lenghthy as I described to you. But the
amazement continued when upon my return from France 3
days after this viewing session, I spoke to a friend
about my experiences and he told me that he had visited
your website and I should also look into it based on my
experiences with the remote viewing of the oncoming
planet. I basically read on your website the confirmation
of the remote viewing experiences I had. I am not given
to jumping to conclusions and accepting doomsday
predictions. So I telephoned the Professor and he told me
that he was at a meeting in Russia last year and fellow
scientists let it be known that indeed out of one of
Russias largest observatories was observed a "new" planet
approaching earth. We will now try to get additional data
and photos through the Professors sources as well as 2
other potential observatories that may help further
substantiate this unbelievable scenario. Please keep us
informed of any additional "solid" data you may receive.
I certainly feel a sense of urgency given the time line
but want to be sure that all is verified scientifically
as well, as I do not intend to make the major life
changes necessary just based on hype or delusions. Having
said this I also feel that what was remote viewed was

This last message was sent to me 12-14-01. It is from a
good friend of BJ's (from the above message) that I've
been it touch with.

Dear Mark and friends,

my canadian friend BJ called me on tuesday night. He
advised me that preliminary feedback to our request at an observatory
in Russia (which we cannot divulge at this time because it could
jeopardise further contact). The professor with whom we are in
contact (we are withholding the name for the same reason as stated)
has confirmed that they have known officially for 2 years that this
planet is on it's way and they are fearing that it will cause
substantial damage. Also this week we have forwarded the zeta's
coordinate of the approaching planet x and if possible try to
validate the trajectory of planet x. This professor is in charge of
discovery of new planets and celestial bodies. Hopefully, they will
be able to substantiate our further request for photographic data.

This next message is an appreciatve reader in San Diego.

To those who are wondering if this (Planet X) is real or not and are
brave enough to be sure, I have written a short essay about how I
crossed over the threshold into the land of knowing yesterday. But
dont read on until you are sure that you really don't want to stay in
the land of maybe. It will definitely change your life---for example
right now I am up at 3:00 because I couldn't go back to sleep! Of
course, what I say may not convince you, but may just be one thing to
prod you on in your quest. Each of us will have a different thing
that gives us that undeniable Aha! I have always been the kind of
person that likes to know the truth, feeling that knowledge is bliss,
instead of ignorance. I read Marks book, Blindsided, Planet X, Earth
Changes. But, I really longed to talk to someone in the know
firsthand. I also spent up to seven hours a day on the internet over
the four-day holiday looking up planet X on all the search engines. I
disregarded all the channeled information because it is too
contradictory, especially about the year, and I wanted to know when
this is happening so that I could live as though it were my last
year, or plan to survive. I prayed to know the truth. Then I got the
idea to call dome builders and ask them about the dome prices etc.. I
then asked if they had heard about Planet X. One
talked to me about half an hour. Yes, in fact, he knew
quite a bit. I have promised to keep his anonymity from
the internet so I cannot give away his identity but what he shared
with me will hopefully give you some answers. He said some scientists
told him about it and he called some friends of his that he was in
the military with years ago. He trusted them because they had become
scientists in NASA. What they went on to describe is why I cant sleep
at 3:00 A.M. Two things are certain, they told him: 1) Planet X
exists. 2) It is coming between May 15 and May 30 of 2003. The rest
is speculation. But, if its good enough for the NASA scientists, its
good enough for me. The earth will stand still for about three days
and then, in one hour, rotate a full 90 degrees (the pole shift)
during which time winds will be an average of 200 miles per hour.
Every volcano on earth will erupt and of
course there will be many earthquakes, so two thirds of
earths population will die in that one hour surprise.
Then another 20% will starve to death during the next six months
because the volcanic ash will cover the earth and keep out sunlight
for six months. About 10% of the population (about 600 million) will
survive. He said NASAs top scientists wanted to go to Mars and
survive but that didnt work out. So they are making a space station
which will be able to maneuver itself on the other side of earth,
using earth as a shield between the space station and Planet X. This
way the top scientists will live. He said it is already affecting
Neptunes gravitational pole and once it gets close to Pluto, it will
take only three months to get here. He confirmed what Mark said
(although he never heard of this book), which is that Planet X goes
very slowly and then very, very fast all of a sudden. But, once near
Pluto it will be a red dot in the sky which will gradually get bigger
during several months, and can be seen with the naked eye six weeks
before the pole shift. He confirmed that the northern inland part of
the States is good; it is where the scientists are going. This will
be near the equator after the shift. After hearing all this, I wonder
whether I want to survive. I don't relish the idea of seeing starving
people. I haven't made up my mind, but it is definitely shifting me
into an altered state just knowing this. I am living my life fully
appreciating everything, which began after reading Mark's book and is
now intenisfied. For those of you who are having second thoughts
about survival, I cannot recommend highly enough Dr. Michael Newtons
research on the afterlife: Journey of Souls and Destiny of Souls.
Read those if you have any fear of death. If you want to survive
those 200 mile per hour winds, though, you need a dome house and lots
of food stockpiled! Another thing: I have known about the secret
elite government for about three years. But after finding out the
truth, I feel that even if we had a benevolent government, they are
wise not to publicize this. They are powerless to find the resources
to save everyone. Besides, it is wise to let the masses enjoy their
lives till the last. I am now working on forgiving
them for all they have done to mess up this planet; how
this all plays out may actually make their doings a moot point.
Hopefully, as this man quoted his friends, Planet X will be the great
equalizer, dethroning the powers that be.


Zecharia Sitchin is a world renowned scholar, author, and
acheologist. I've heard enough reports to understand that Zacharia
Sitchin occasionally says that X is very close to passing. He will
not elaborate on why he says this or give an exact date. This is
hearsay and is not something he does regularly or will admit to on
the record. So with this in mind take it anyway you see fit.

Insiders in Nasa & the military privately confirm that many are
quietly building dome-homes (strongest structure know to man) in the
upper USA (one of the safest areas). Make a few calls about domes &
confirm this for yourself.

Trusting the Pentagon/gov't to guard itself & relay needed

In July, 2001 the red object "2001 KX76" was disclosed, it's NOT X.
This was the original attempt at misdirection. By August 2001 the

Just one year ago the prospects for the world economy seemed bright.

The world's largest economy, the United States, was growing at 4% annually after nearly a decade of economic growth.

And a huge trade imbalance meant that America was sucking in goods from the around the world, boosting exports from Asia in particular.

Growth was picking up in Europe and the UK as well, after a series of interest rate cuts and an attempt to stabilise the value of the euro.

Only in Japan was the news gloomy - and even there the government was claiming that the worst was over and recovery was on the way.

Now the world may be sliding into a global recession.

The growth of the world economy is widely expected to slow dramatically, at least until the middle of next year.

The problem is that the three leading economies - the United States, Japan, and Germany - are slowing down at the same time.

And although growth may be positive in some parts of the developing world, except for China it is unlikely to keep up with the growth of population, so average income per head could actually fall.

US the key

The heart of the world slowdown is the dramatic turnaround of the US economy which has been accelerated but not created by the attacks of 11 September.

Most economists now believe that the US economy entered a recession as early as March, while in the third quarter (July- September) it was already down by more than 1%.

The problem for the US economy was over-investment, particularly by the business sector, in new equipment such as computers and telecoms systems.

This was exacerbated by the huge boom in the stock market, which made it easy for companies to expand using their share price as collateral.

"We really had a capital investment bubble," said William Stavropoulos, the chairman of Dow Chemical. "The overhang is unbelievable."

By the middle of the year that investment had declined sharply, bringing down the tech stocks with it.

And the stock slowdown also affected consumer confidence which suffered another blow after 11 September.

Job cuts at big companies - especially electronic and telecoms giants like Lucent, Motorola, Hewlett-Packard, and AT&T - further weakened consumer spending.

Budget surplus

That quickly reversed the low unemployment environment which had led to the first real growth in family incomes in 20 years.

"For the first time in decades," said Jared Bernstein, an economist at the Economic Policy Institute, "you had employers chasing workers, rather than the other way around".

And the US Government's budget surplus was an early victim of the slowdown with the optimistic projections of a $3 trillion surplus disappearing after the tax cuts in the spring.

The US central bank, the Federal Reserve, has moved aggressively to try to contain the recession, cutting interest rates eleven times from 6.5% to 1.75% in the course of the year.

The Federal government has had less success in producing a further economic stimulus package, with negotiations mired in conflict between Democrats and Republicans as to who should be the main beneficiaries.

The behaviour of US consumers and businesses will be crucial to the future of the world economy in 2002.

The $10 trillion US economy is one-quarter of world output, and no other country looks like being in a position to become the new engine of economic growth.

Gloom in Japan

Indeed, the situation is even worse in the world's second-largest economy, Japan, where officials now expect the recession to worsen sharply in 2002.

Japan's economy has been weak for some time, and the loss of its export markets has helped push it deeper into recession.


Japan needs to increase consumer spending

Japan's companies have responded to the problems for the first time by massive lay-offs, and unemployment is now higher than in the United States, reaching 5.5% in November.

And prices in Japan are actually falling, encouraging consumers to delay spending in the hope that goods will get cheaper in the future.

The Japanese Government also seems to be running out of policy options, with interest rates already at near zero for the past year, and a series of economic stimulus packages which have failed to boost the economy.

Japan's one hope is to revive its export sector, and the government has been quietly trying to devalue the yen to help companies sell more abroad, seeing it hit a record low against the dollar soon after Christmas.

Subdued Europe

The world's third largest economy - Germany - has also suffered from an economic slowdown, which has been dragging the rest of the eurozone down with it.

Germany's growth rate also turned negative - just - by the third quarter of 2001, and business confidence reached an all-time low.

From Germany's point of view, the European Central Bank (ECB) did not lower interest rates far enough or fast enough to prevent a slowdown.

But the ECB was concerned about the economic boom on the eurozone's periphery, and has some fears that the launch of the euro as a cash currency will spur spending and inflationary pressures at the end of the year.

UK 'surviving'

The global slowdown is hurting countries most who are closely tied to the United States.

Canada and Mexico - the two biggest trading partners of the USA - are both recording near zero growth this year.

And Argentina - which has failed in its attempt to tame inflation by tying its currency to the dollar - is in turmoil, raising fears that its economic problems could have a domino effect that could hit the global economy.

Surprisingly, it is the UK which so far has shown the strongest economic growth among the leading industrial countries.

Although the UK economy is expected to slow, it is not, as yet, near a recession, with strong consumer spending and a booming housing market compensating for a weak manufacturing sector.

The fortuitous combination of seven rate cuts by the Bank of England, and big government spending plans for the next year, should ensure that the economy keeps growing.

And although unemployment has stopped falling, the UK still has the lowest rate among the G7 industrial countries.

If there is a recovery by the middle of next year, which many economists now deem likely, the UK may well escape the brunt of the world slowdown.

However, even Britain will not be immune if the world slowdown is prolonged."

presumably, matthew, you just want the nasty edgy feeling for a week but don't actually want anything horrible to happen to you. how close to the edge are you walking? Assume ulterior motives in everything you see or hear, don't trust your friends, family or partner, concoct plans everywhere, remember that whenever two people you know have a conversation it's going to be about you. maybe that man in the black coat was following you? perhaps it was me. you know that everyone who's read your post thinks you're just being stupid and have only put up false information to confuse you, right?
you'll probably need to do something at the end of the week to stop those disasters actually happening.
a good way to get very paranoid would be to move to london and spend the week applying for work with temp agencies.

Results and observations

Success

At work, I spent most of my time in the lab by myself. When someone would walk by I found I would reach for something with which to defend myself, first with intent, and then
without thinking about it. Each time I did this, I was aware of potential danger, and felt blood rush to my nose (I was guessing this is some kind of primal response to help smell out
danger). I still tried to greet my co-workers cordially, but did occasionally hesitate.

I has a wonderful nightmare (the most disturbing I've had in about a year) that someone I cared for deeply had lost his arm and was paralyzed in the bathtub. This worried me for the
week, and, last time I had a nightmare of this magnitude, I didn't fully recover for about a month.

I took walks at night around the neighbourhood. I didn't usually see people I could follow. Kids on bikes, cars driving by, and such. I was able to work myself up physically quite well,
but it did seem a bit contrived. I kept running potential dangers through my head. I planned for the worst, and tried to avoid people recognizing me.

By the end of the week, spending time with my friends felt considerably different. I felt like an outsider. They were the group, and I was watching them objectively (I felt), sometimes
suspicious, but more often with a feeling that they were simply apart from me.

Problems and Difficulties
I had some difficulty suspecting people I loved of anything malicious towards me. I wrote on a piece of paper over and over things like "Don't trust them" or "They're out to get you." Again,
it felt contrived, but I was trying to go off the "fake it 'til you make it" rule. This was only a parial success. I generally felt that love should dominate my action over fear. And I had a fear of the
future behaving too strangly might make it impossible to return to the life I had before. I kept telling myself that that was the whole point. So. In the future, I should try to emphasize the importance
of <<<dying>>> that is, letting the person I was die in favor of the person I will become. It's a bit ironic, I guess, that fear was one of the things that held me back from being paranoid.

Paranoia about my car, or my money was almost completely futile. I've spent so much of the last year trying to lower the importance of such material things that I frankly didn't care if they were threatened.
And my car actually is threatened with something. Don't know what's wrong with it, but I suspect it will demand at least some hassle.


One interesting thing is that, even during success, I didn't really feel like life had suddenly changed. If I hadn't been paying attention, I might never have known that anything was different at all, although
at times, things were quite different. It probably would be pretty easy to get myself into quite a frenzy given about two months to work on this.

To purge myself of any residual paranoia, I'm going to listen to some George Harrison, and do some meditation.

It gave me a start at first, thanks. After that, I started to feel a bit comforted by it, since I figured somebody on barbelith was trying to help me. Then I thought. Just what I needed. Friendship and aid during my week of paranoia. Thanks a Fuckin' lot.
