Ben Templesmith does most of the zombie and vampire comics recently, AFAIK. I think he's got a great artistic style, especially for dark toned material like '30 days of night'.
But his writing is pretty poor. I just read 'Singularity', and although the style was great, the story was a cobbled together bastard child of the Matrix and Terminator. Nanites take over the world, civilisation huddles together underground hunted by cybernecrosoldiers, meh. Cheese.
