What do you think of this "Hyperdimensional Hurricane" concept?

You may have heard about an Idaho meteorologist claiming that hurricanes were being "manufactured" by the Yakuza, but I found something that seems a little more credible than that claim. I am no expert in any area of science, and certainly have no expertise in meteorology, but this site with an article about "Hyperdimensional Hurricanes" at least sounds as if written by people who know what they are talking about, and has some very interested photographs. I was wondering what Lithers better acquainted with the sciences than I am would make of it.

It seems to suggest that a centrifugal spinning force attracts some form of "high energy" down into our world, yes?

That's one way to look at it. It seemed to me that they were arguing that the source of the hurricane was artificial, but weren't saying something like "The Yakuza is doing this with their special machines in Cuba!" (I don't know what that's about either.) I was curious if anyone had alternative explanations for that odd geometric formation in the eye, and was also wondering about that link they tried to make with tectonic activity.

Also, just plain "Are these guys totally full of shit, and I am just not knowledgeable enough to see it clearly?"

Also, another thing... When I mentioned this to a friend, they brought up HAARP. And here's a less official, much more scary page about HAARP.

Yes, these guys are absolutely, unspeakably and totally full of shit. None of their evidence is meaningful and their argument is wholly devoid of logic. The whole "hyperdimensional" thing means, in layman's terms, jack shit. More on the (cough) "work" of Hoagland and the Enterprise Mission here...

Wow. Hoagland is the Face-on-Mars guy. He sure knows how to pick issues that'll get him on the magical thinking shows.

I'm a biologist, not a meteorologist, so I don't know the explanation for the formations inside the eye that Hoagland is excited about. My guess would be these are transient phenomena caused by clouds being ripped around by the enormous winds. The "geometry" he's talking about requires the same amount of imagination as the Martian face.

All that said, one of these days somebody, although probably not Hoagland, will figure out how to tap the unimaginable energies of quantum foam.
