(As with my previous thread, apologies if this should be in Creation, but not many people check it out, and I'm skint!)

Hello folks,
I hearby present a few excerpts from my new comic Tony is a werewolf, a 48 page b+w number with a sexy colour cover. Unlike my previous work Beau & Me (still available! Hurry, hurry, hurry...) 'Tony' is a collection of ultra-short stories that connect to make a bigger picture. Short Cuts meets Pokemon if you like... Who could fail to love a comic that features Robots, monsters, giant Sharks, sexual perversity, nudity, history, mystery, ghosts, true love, superheroes, drinking, wrestlers, supervillains, the end of the world, and table-tennis?
Anyway, here's a couple of taster pages:

So anyway, if you want a copy, please send the paltry amount of £3.50 (to cover p+p) to me (please PM me for my address, as i rather stupidly put it online last time..), or if you're a Brightonian, head to Dave's (and while you're at it check out the other cool small press comics by Fraely Boyce and the excellent Danny Noble).

Cheers

MacG

god barbelithers have you not got this yet?

the cool kids be having it weeks already.

very different in tone to the last effort by this up-and-coming comics whiz, but just as worth the fee in gumbitch's humble.

and if you are lucky enough to be able to get it in dave's, try and get it when the new girl's behind the counter - she's got this enormous crush on mister macg [cute, funny AND does his own comics - why woont she?]and this will make your whole buying experience EVEN MORE fun.

OMG (as they say) I can't wait to taunt the nice young lady about McG, teehee! Comix can be fun!

As someone who has read, nay, also handled McG's Tony is a Werewolf I give it my warmest recommendations. Avoid trauma! Buy now!

I feel sad about the lack of hand drawn lettering.

THIS LETTERING IS LIKE A SLAP IN THE FACE!

Truth be told I too feel a twinge of guilt about typing the lettering. A misguided attempt at being 'grown-up' i fear. You can still buy my comic though, you no good layabout...

I like the lettering choice.

To all the lovely folk who've PM'd me, I just want to say I'll get back to you all, but not today as I'm so hungover I can barely see straight.

Tony Is A Werewolf is MacG's finest work to date. You can see more of his work in My Space Horse Weekly which also has some of my work in as well as a fine piece by Miss Danny Noble. This is also available in David's Comics in Brighton. Whilst you're there you should (as MacG has kindly pointed out) pick up MY STUFF:

-Speckle- about a girl who thinks she's a cat and a cat who thinks she's a girl.

-The Amusing Brothers- a parody of humour

-Headrust- about my family

-Sklent- 5 issues of Amusing Brothers strips and a real life tale of adventure wrapped in a fantastic celebrity cover (all for only 25p each)

One day I'll sort out getting some samples up here, too.

Man, if this thread is MacGyver shamelessly whoring his comics then that makes me some sort of whore parasite.

Good.

So, any chance of any of you making it in to london to get your wares into GOSH and other such London comic shops just like you have with Dave's in Brighton?

Haus of Mystery

Yeah, I really need to get my arse in gear. I know GOSH is really supportive of small press stuff.

I'm going to the Plough today. If you're really, really, lucky I'll 1) pop into Daves and get a few copies 2) carry them to London 3) read them on the train and 4) give them to GOSH as samples and tell them to contact you.

Who's supportive of small press comix now, eh? You shameless comic whores and parasites.

Seriously though, I can get the entire available canon of both your work for less than a single Gambit TPB- easy fucking choice.

Dammit, GOSH was shut. I pimped a Trevor and Steven collection to Comicana round the corner from them, but they're a bit rubbish.
Still, I get to keep five sklents (loved Miriam's story!) a Beau and Me, and Speckle (Frae you're a twisted brain).

There were no copies of Tony is a Werewolf in Daves though, who to blame? Hmmm.

Orbital (top of charring cross road), Comic Showcase (towards the bottom of charring cross road) and to a certain extent forbidden Planet are all also friendly to indie comics...

Also, send stuff to Rich Johnston - he loves free stuff and regularly pimps indie stuff... particularly if he's met you...

Oooh. Good call. Maybe I'll send it alongside a completely unfounded John Byrne rumour...

I bought two and gave them away already, went back to Daves and found Tony in it's 'impulse buy' place on the counter- sold out! Curses! Selling like hot cakes! Get 'em while you can!

How does such talent flow from MacReady's meagre brain? Is he merely a conduit for a higher power of comic genius? Will there be a Little Tina miniseries? Enquiring minds want to know, dude.

Hurry hurry! Only four shopping days left till Christmas you heartless swine!!! Ifyou don't buy, how else am i supposed to keep myself in caviar and otter's noses over the Yule season?
