Questions about purchasing a Domain Name and webspace

Right, down to brass tacks...

Where can I purchase a Domain and Webspace, for a reasonable price, that will not shut me down for somewhat offensive content? No nudity, but y'know, probably not something you'd show your mum, either.

All help is appreciated, because I'm completely at a loss here, and am desperate to get this up and running soon.

Quite possibly www.oneandone.com, who are fantastic and really, really cheap.

I've had pretty good experiences with using mydomain.com for domain name registration, but haven't used them for hosting. If you have space where you can host the site yourself, the free URL forwarding option they offer works well, is easy to use and will keep things nice and cheap.

I use IX Webhosting and have nothing but good things to say about them. They aren't as cheap as some hosting/registration sites, but they are very full-featured (php, MySQL, Ruby, Python, etc.) if that sort of thing floats your boat. I started using them as an HTML n00b and the plan I have has scaled nicely as I get deeper into more esoteric web applications, like wikis, picture galleries, and the like.

I'm using Dreamhost, who I generally love. Great control panel from which you can do pretty much any technical thing you need.

It's relatively cheap. I'm paying 20 bucks a month for way more space than I need. I think you can do the 10 dollar a month plan and basically live like an internet King.

They have the added advantage of a FREE domain registration and they keep increasing your bandwidth and disk space the longer you are a customer.
