Over in this Barbelith thread, someone linked to the L.A. Cacophony Society. It's a funny link.

But elsewhere on the site I found something that really interested me. After a Halloween event (and that's what those pranksters do, you know -- create "events"), two of their number were killed by drunk drivers.
And, apparently, this has spurred a movement into something they're calling
Anarchist Christianity.

The logo reminds me of something I came up with in college - the Universal Church of Christ, Redeemer of the Dead. I like that. I like that the meme seems to be developing elsewhere, on more fertile ground.

Anarchist Christianity includes:
cosmic clownery,
Holy Fools,
and
radical inclusion of the marginalized.

In other words, all freaks welcome.

Apparently they're not alone, either.

Of course you don't have to kill yourself! If you really want to, though, wait until after you've joined the church! That way, you automatically become a saint, without any additional paperwork.

Although, they do have a good point : If there is anyone out there who is stupid enough to fall for this, maybe it is best if they don't procreate.

aaaah but see thats where it all gets a bit interesting.

they define sodomy as : any sexual act not intended for procreation.

which of course makes sense, if you happen to believe the rest of it. In fact, according to the captain vile cartoon which they happily link to, it also includes using a cat as a sex toy.
