New PC.

Sweet fuck.

I used to have a 350mhz machine. Now, it's, uh, many Gigahertz. Everything is superfast! Got blue lights and everything.

Now I can play games I got and couldn't run before.

I'm happy, I hope everyone else is. Bloody brilliant.

Hooray for Legba's new PC!
I haven't had a new PC in ages. I built my current machine WITH MY BARE HANDS. And a swiss army knife with a screwdriver attachment. I think I stole most of the RAM from my former employers. It was quite fun, actually - the building, not the theft, though I can't deny I gained a certain amount of satisfaction from that - and involved a lot of swearing.

There's really nothing quite so satisfying as building a computer from scratch, doubly so if you build a superslick 'puter out of the carcasses of the fallen, old & infirm.

Congratulations. I can revel in the celebration also. I replaced my 6 year old Dell with a whopping 96megs of RAM with a shiny new cheap Dell. I can actually open two windows at once. It's amazing.

I don't believe PC really exists.

I haven't got the hang of the old PC yet! Oh wait, someone's desktop.

Good for you. W00t and such.

I need a new PC. It's six years old and bits stop working forcing me to patch around them. My MP3 player has a bigger hard drive.
And it runs Windows 98 *shudder*.
Perhaps someone can advise me: Which is cheaper, homemade or store-bought?

Homemade. Plus you know how it works so if it goes wrong you can just replace individual bits.

Thankyou all. And thankyou Comet, for swift delivery and good prices. You've never heard a baby horse say that, and you most likely never will.
