Hello. I'm new here, and have noticed that there aren't too many threads about new cinema releases in the Film and TV section. Is this deliberate? I don't want to post lots of new topics if 'lithers aren't generally interested (I go to the cinema a lot).

Thanks

i vote "go for it".
the FTV is for exactly that kind of thing.
i dont reckon any percieved lack is deliberate.

Absolutely - don't feel shy about starting new threads.

I often feel I should do the same with theatre, since there's almost none in there...

Ok thanks. Deluge has begun...

I might also start some topics about theatre too Ganesh, although its generally a bit harder to find people who have seen the same productions. But then differences in production can be a talking point in itself.

Thanks for the advice.

Me and Xoc see quite a bit of theatre, stereotypes that we are. We'd post to yer threads.

Don't feel down if you get few or no replies, though. That forum can be quite... specific.

As well, even if your threads don't get replied to straight away, sooner or later somebody will see the film, want to talk about it here, search for it, and bob's your uncle.

Hello. I'm new here, and have noticed that there aren't too many threads about new cinema releases in the Film and TV section.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I now wait to go see movies, and rarely see them in theaters, as there are fewer ads when I watch the DVD. And my sound system is better than the local cinema. AND I like director's commentary.

I keep reading that theater attendance is dropping at an alarming rate, and I wonder if that is reflected in the small nuber of posts about movies in theaters right now.
