..Or rather, bindings. Has this ever actually happened to anyone here? Have they done it to someone else? How could you protect yourself against a binding? Does it even work?

I ask merely out of curiosity- I'm not important enough to either curse or bind (or maybe I just haven't pissed off the wrong people yet...

) and I'm too laid-back to try and put the kibosh on another mage "for their own good". Just being nosey...

If I do a binding I usually do it on things I lend out so they will come back to me somehow. I might put an "astral umbilical cord" around it to yank it back with.
I don't like to put any spells on people unless they are healing spells. Sometimes it is necsessary to bind someone if they are on a destructive path...let's say..someone who is constantly drinking and driving. That kind of situation can be diffused when a binding is done. This is my experience at least.

I put a binding spell on a woman I used to work with because she was such an effing bitch that I really couldn't cope. It was a last resort and she did actually back off for a while.

I used an old shoe lace and tied several knots in it while visualising her backing off and giving me a damn break!
