I can understand the sudden feeling that a piece of wood is fit to be a wand, Mordant. I've got something like that.
Well, its not really a wand. Its more of a club. Its just a piece of wood that I found. I chiselled and shaved the bark off it by hand, and cleaned it up a bit. Its name came from the drawing of runes (the name which I can pronounce, but never remember how to spell, despite the fact that the runes are written right onto the side of the thing). Its...funky. I've found that holding it, or even visualizing holding it, calms me down. Just...focus and centers me.
How does one go about actually creating a wand, though? I mean, the process I used above was quite rough, not really refined. It works, but...I dunno. The way it was done seemed more basic and primal than skillfull, magically speaking. |
