Jean-Hervé Peron of Faust is putting on a shindig at his house in Schiphorst, near Hamburg, Germany. The festival runs for 3 days from 16-18th September 2005, and is very reasonably priced at EUR40 for the whole weekend if you book in advance (only a little more on the gate). Flights from the UK are very cheap by Ryanair to Lübeck for example, and you'll even get collected from the airport if you book in advance.
Acts playing at the Fiestaval (as it has been dubbed) include: Faust (with JHP and Zappi, playing every night of the event too!), Chris Cutler, Charles Hayward, Ulan Bator, Chris Karrer from Amon Düül II, Ectogram, Permanent Fatal Error, Stella Maris Drone Orchestra and a whole host more from around the world. As this is a show being staged by one of the more flamboyant members of Faust, expect all-around nuttiness, occasional painted nudity and some really amazing music, while Lightning Rod will be smearing the site with his tripped-out pschedelic lightshow.
Important note: It's not a commercial festival, it's a big party, and the entry fee is to cover expenses and suchlike.
