... i just had one of those life-defining moments that are so mind-bursting wonderful that, once i had got over the fact that i had been moved to tears by ma wee boy, i felt i had to share ... thus the thread ...
... so, some of you may be aware that i am the father, along with cantankor ( godfathers being xoc and ganesh), of a 2 and a half year old ( aka mini-hanabius  ) ...
... lately he's been in the hyper-till-who-knows-what-hour-zone ... until a couple of nights ago ...
... that was when i tried the singing-to-sleep-bit ... i am aware of the various theories re controlled crying etc but myself and the wife have went for a discuss-with-him-when-his-bedtime-is-ie-half-eight and, up until recently, it's worked ...
... so ... couple o' nights ago i sang him my favourite song, which happens to be a fairly chilled song, namely COME SAIL AWAY by STYX ... ... ... and he loved it ...
... now he only wants me at bedtime and says 'sing daddy's song' ...
... life is seriously nice x
ps there were tears ...
... i just wondered if there were any other examples of those wonderful moments out there that make anyone else's day just a wee bit nicer ... as i hope this post has ...
