Morning Bride's Latest Gig! Next gig, *Sat 10th September*

Mono
06:12 / 12.08.05
My band is playing again, and this time it's free!

Saturday night at St. Mary's Church (on Stokey Church St.)as part of the Fringe festival in Stoke Newington. And you won't have to miss the Drone's Club, as they're playing on Friday.

In the interests of mutual assistance in bumping the threads up, can I just say that everyone really should make the effort to come along - the church in question is a special place in its own right, but is going to be enhanced oodles by Morning Bride playing there. I do hope it's going to be by candlelight, Mono?

I'm coming! I'm going to try and get some friends to come, too. :]

Come both nights! In fact, come all three. There's sooo much on that some of it must be good on each day.

Might have some spare guest list places for this one too...

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
00:12 / 14.08.05
It's free, though, isn't it?

Mon Oncle Ignatius

It is... I believe that was a humorous aside!

15:06 / 17.08.05
I might be coming to this, having entirely missed the last two Stokefest due to complete doziness and poor planning.

I would also like the opportunity to try and spot Barbelith people in a crowd. And then hide. Or make myself known. Or neither. Who can say how it would pan out.

Is there going to be booze in the church though?? I've just given up smoking and simply must have alcohol of the greatest potency *at all times* to take my mind of it...

Will you be able to lurk... in a house of GOHD? Jesus always knows, y'knows.

There will be no bar at the Church, I believe. Perhaps hipflasks and drinking Thunderbird mixed with 40/40 in the graveyard will be the order of the day, just to get that middle-age/teenage crossover going for the night.

It's at the little old church BTW, not the big one opposite, just in case anyone gets lost. Also, it's not strictly the Stokefest, but the Fringe thereof, just a bit later this year. But that is mere pedantry, and maybe you'll get to meet the Stokey 'lithers, and Anna too!

The plan for Saturday I believe is to see Morning Bride then skidattle over to the Others to catch Monkey Island. The church has no alcohol, the Others does!

Mono, I didn't realise your gig was going to be this weekend when I said I would come to it the other week! I am going home to see parents - but will come to the next one (when is it?) if humanly possible - sorry...

September 10th, I believe. The dates are on the forementioned website...

Latest word from MB is that they're on at 8.30pm - so see some of you there, hopefully.

Wicked, as usual. Probably be very pissed off at them tomorrow for being the reason for my hangover.

That really wasn't the only reason, was it?

Anna, don't talk to Kit-Cat like that and if you didn't mean to intone it in that way then change your use of italics.

Now now, Nina. Anyone has the right to be rude, and everyone else has the right to react, both vocally and silently, as they feel apppropriate. That's the beauty of living in a democracy.

September 10th, anyone? We may as well organise now...

Hey. That could be a mod-job. Shall I edit the thread title to show the new date, would that be useful?

Maybe "Morning Bride's Latest Gig! Next gig September 10"? Or we could just start a new thread...

To clarify for anyone confused by the thread title changing (though of course they might not be, and it's just me throwing a bit more confusion into the proceedings):

Saturday night at St. Mary's Church (on Stokey Church St.)as part of the Fringe festival in Stoke Newington.

This date is now passed, and was great, if a bit curtailed. The next MB gig on 10th September 2005 is at The Others in Stoke Newington, with Washington Rays and another band.

if it's near the top of the page, that means there is a new gig to enjoy.

Nice one :-)
