Makes me grateful for Scottish kiltiness, which allows me to sidestep this whole sartorial minefield and flash my knackers after a few glasses of Ms Clicquot.

Otherwise... Paul Smith's well and good, but getting a little ubiquitous (maybe not in the US). Ted Baker I tend to think of as a maker of reasonable mid-price work suits rather than special occasion schmutter. I'd go with Gresham Blake but not wear it like the website models.

I've seen a couple of nice ones, if anyone is still interested! What with little over four months to go, I've been eyeing up some cloth. Haven't made it to G Blake yet, but Ted Baker is still an okay back up - Austin Reed have some pretty decent stuff at the moment, particularly a light grey, fine blue striped windsor cut number - would look very good with a white suit and a blue tie. I did get a little over-whelmed by suits in general, so have decided to go to one place at a time, rather than multiple shops and styles. Will post pictures if I find any.

Okay, I've got the suit. I've got the suit and tie, and rings, just need shoes.

i went for Paul Smith in the end, from Westbourne Terrace, as they were one of the few places where I felt good and right, and it was one of the few suits that I felt fit me in a way that if I moved my arms I wouldn't split seams.

Very dark blue, three button, single breasted. The shirt is plain white, double cuffed, and the tie is very small checks, making it look like stripes, mint blue, white and dark grey.

I will post photo's once I've had a haircut, as I look like well dressed tramp at the moment when I try it on.

I would marry a well dressed tramp. Sounds like just my kind of thing.

450-575 L. is more than enough. I'd suggest a medium grey two-piece Brooks Brothers 10 oz. wool suit (275-350 L. or so if you're careful) , white Oxford cloth button-down shirt (about 30 L. instead of 75 L.), any silk rep tie they have on sale (maybe 30 L.), black wool socks (about 7 L. tops). If you've been careful with the rest, you might have enough for a pair of black Church's dress shoes. (You probably won't have enough to pick the model, i.e., wing-tip, plain toe, etc. You can probably get a pair on sale for 150 L. or so). The added advantage is that you can continue to wear most of this for years.

Benny, you're ...the indisputable leader of the gang
You're the boss
You're a pip
You're the championship
You're the most tip top ...bridegroom.

Looking good, dude.

Buttons, Benny. Buttons. Never do up the bottom button, and normally don't do up the top, although you can if the lapel curve doesn't start until further up.

Haus, it's clear from the photo that Benny is going for the toying with the bottom button to indicate that I'm still available for filthy sex way.
