We're in the process of setting up the final details for the next Drones Club, which will be part of the N16 Fringe Festival in Stoke Newington.

The venue with be The Others at 6-8 Manor Road, which is easy to get to by rail from Liverpool Street to Stoke Newington Station and buses 67, 73, 76, 106 (stops right outside), 149, 243, 393 and 476. It's on Friday 19th August, from around 8pm until late, and best of all, it's FREE! There will be two other night of free gigs to follow, at various venues in N16, including The Others agaim, but I've not got any more details of those. Something should appear on the Fringe website soon.

Lineup for the Drones night is currently Owls, Stella Maris Drone Orchestra and the UK debut of the wrestling-masked mysteryman Swarm, plus DJs playing record that don't just drone, but can boogie too. There is another act scheduled to appear, but they might not be able to, so I'll let you know as and when they confirm for definite or not.

Lilly Nowhere and myself would love to see y'all there!

The finalised N16 Fringe Festival programme can be found here as a 31.65KB PDF. Don't forget that Barbelith's very own Mono will be playing with her fantastic alt.country band Morning Bride on the Saturday night of the Festival too.

Are they? Oh, good; thanks Mono!

BTW the PDF is much bigger in reality... more like 2.7MB. Never believe what servers tell Mozilla, eh?

Yes I was only joking. Who's coming Friday? It's like a weekend away in Stokie and the weather's fine!

Let's make it a weekend of Barbemeeting in N16!

I missed Illmatic's birthday boozery last night in Borough as I went along to a friend's Arabick night in St. John Street (the last one for now but pretty cool musicians played groovy music), but we can continue this London party for at least another three days...

SMDO were ace. Owls were also ace. I'm very drunk. Thought coming home now seemed the best option. NOW I don't feel like sleeping, and can't be arsed walking back. That sucks.

Thanks Stoatie! Everyone who played were great - again. Luc from Owls is a bit of a poetic and performance genius in the making. I'm really glad you made it in time for SWARM. Wrestling masks have rarely been so much fun in combination with electronickery.

You should have come back - I think you missed Now, who were at their very best, getting a large chunk of the crowd dancing like loons to the funky Krock rhythms, myself and Lilly N included - and collapsing full-tilt on the stage in the case of Moonus. Only the keyboard stand was bent: fortunately the Moog survived as far as I can tell.

Onwards to Morning Bride at the church tonight! (There is obviously a bit of a temporal anomaly going on here)
