Arthur Conan Doyle and Sherlock Holmes

Did anybody see that Sherlock Holmes/ Arthur Conan Doyle programme on BBC2 last night?

SPOILERS:

it was excellent and I thought that it was a great depiction of how mental health issues and Egregore/Servitor/Thought Forms getting out of hand can be indistinguishible

Basically, Arthur Conan Doyle was haunted and resentful of his most famous creation for a myriad of reasons

Personally, I thought it was great and the twists and turns with Holmes actually visiting Doyle in his study and masquerading as a biographer was a masterstroke and very thought provoking as I have just launched my latest servitor and this was a great depiction of how the creation can outgrow it's original programming

great stuff and I hope others enjoyed it as much as I did and I am not just projecting my latest interests into this drama

they briefly touched upon the Spiritualist interests of Conan Doyle but whilst the show underplayed this aspect of his personality, it was more than made up for with the twists and revelation that Sheldon the Biographer was actually Holmes himself coming to visit the author

Quick trivia- did you know Conan Doyle once defended someone in court and proved their innocence using logical deduction? He showed they would have had to see through three hedgerows to be guilty, or something like that.

Just thought I'd bring it up to show that the parent informs the creation more than you might think- the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

I'm glad you responded

Usually my threads just drop off the boards through a result of my lack of knowledge, poor wording or general annoyance, over my overly preachy style!

Rats, missed this, does anyone know if it's going to be repeated?

I thought it was good and I hope you do.....it's bound to be repeated soon or it may even be shown in the early hours with subtitles and signings, keep a lookout for it

I often find stuff I have missed repeated in the early hours and the subtitles and signing person soon become part of the background and don't spoil the enjoyment
