Getting a good idea of what that means could take quite a lot of digging around, but you might be able to find something. I'd personally start having a read up on what 'halakhah' is, then start searching around for rituals, spells etc, then try looking for curses.
I did a quick search for halakhah and found this, which basically says what it means :
'The word "halakhah" is usually translated as "Jewish Law," although a more literal translation might be "the path that one walks." The word is derived from the Hebrew root Heh-Lamed-Kaf, meaning to go, to walk or to travel.'
From here, but like I said, it might take a bit of digging around before you arrive at curses and what that particular one means.
I don't think you'll have much look finding out exactly what it means, but I'm sure you'll find something if you're still interested. Also, when I was looking around I saw that the curse has about a 30-day timescale anyway, but also some stuff about it probably not being the cause of Rabbin's assassination, and that's probably the only reason that people are making such a big thing about it. Anything could happen though I guess. |
