Here's an excellent sigil to focus some energies on, in whatever way you feel. There are a few very serious chinks in the BushCo armor right now. Here's to journalists having the courage to pursue this and ask the tough questions. Here's to the administration panicking and making critical mistakes. Here's to the noosphere and the collective hive mind to PICK UP THIS MEME and spread it like fire. There are bad people running our government and making a power play for the world.

May their darkness be revealed in the Light.

...the look on his face is pure gold. If there's an image to focus on, sticking that look on the face of everyone involved with Bush's government would be priceless to see.

Is that Carl Rove? Where's that from?

Yep, it's Rove. Someone photoshopped it up and sent it around the internets.

It's definately a heartwarming notion, a story that should be filmed and shown every Christmas, but... what, exactly, are we to do with it in a magical sense? Meditate on it? Post it to Lj? I'm not sure just making lots of people look at a picture of Rove getting busted will do much more than improve a few moods. Which is no bad thing in itself, I suppose.

Could we come up with something a bit meatier, perhaps?

(BTW: The first person to suggest "charging" a picture of Carl Rove in the generally accepted manner will be harmed.)

You can never have enough wankers on your side.

It's all valid I suppose, and it's kind of funny and all, but ehhhhhh..... Doesn't seem like there's much more to it than any of the rest of the armchair dissent that's going about.

I promise to give myself a stroke if it'll help though....

could you explain the significance of the picture to a very interested Englishman?

As mentioned above, Rove's face got photoshopped onto somebody being hauled off by the authorities; Rove is thought to be the Bush Administration's brains and is (apparently?) the person responsible for *making public* the identity of an undercover intelligence operative. And this was (apparently) in retribution for the agent's husband (Joseph Wilson) disagreeing loudly and intelligently with the Administration's Niger/yellowcake uranium and WMD fantasy...

Mordant, I leave the technique up to you. The sentinment is clear in the pic. We all have tools in our bag of tricks for trying to will the currents along. If staring and laughing works, go for it. If sigilising and wanking is your bag ("it's not my bag, baby!"), then wank away. Or just email the pic to everyone you can think of - spread the meme until fiction becomes real.

Now, if you want to debate the merits of political magickal action, we can certainly do that here. But if magick works to get one a new job, then surely it can be employed to help bring down BushCo (a much larger task, I know, but surely worth the effort).

Well, speaking of magickal political action, on Monday I improvised a small ritual for sowing discord in the Danish People's Party, renowned for their racist and generally intolerant policies.
I was inspired by an article that described a recent disagreement between the leadership and certain prominent members. I hoped that I could fan the fire and maybe get a good internal fight going.

On Wednesday, I saw that one of the tabloids had filled the entire debate section with letters about the disagreement, and that these people had very diverse views on the issue. Here's hoping they fight 'till their heads fall off.

Anyway, even if it doesn't have any effect, at least it's fun, and it helps me keep me optimism.

With regard to public rituals, sigils and such, I have no experience, but I'd love to hear from people who have.

LVX23, I'm sorry if I came across as a bit critical--I was more trying to open up a discussion of how one might use an image like this in a magical working. As you say, everyone has their own tookit but it's often useful to see what sort of power sander the other fellow's packing.
