i was thinking about magical grafitti today. if you were to include a sigil in a public mural or just spray paint a sigil in a visible place could it get charged by passersby? how would that work if at all? what would be the magical mechanics? am i even making any sense?

Yes indeed.

I just posted a long essay on Almost Invisible Art here, check it out for some ideas?

I refer the honourable gentleman to the "Puplic sigil thread."
Graffiti-as-sigil is quite popular. I'm a bit dubious myself, because a) it all seems a bit non-consensual for my liking and b)more importantly, the results are a bit crap.

I don't see why you can't just charge your own sigils ::shrugs:: I'd understand public sigils if the results were better.

What are the experiences of bad results?

I've had some hard core results from some of them. The trick is to build up a area of such sigils, and to use the space within as a ritual space, where you are aware of the sigils in the back of your head. That way, you can have a pretty complex structure buzzing in thee buried depths and concentrate that "surpressed" sigil by easy ritual actions.

The downside for me is the permanence of it, wich has led me to generally use it for area blessings, and make more results-oriented workings with talimanic objects glued to walls. Allows for greater complexity as well.
