Ho-hum.
Another issue that does little to excite. Whedon's dialogue and characterization is good, but it feels like this story has been going on too long - I have stopped caring what is happening as another fight sequence appears to take over much of the issue. And I don't seem to be the only one who has stopped caring - Cassady's art (particularly that godawful cover) looks at best rushed and at worse lazy. This is perhaps a little unfair since Cassidy has been suddenly confronted by a posative wealth of (well, at least 2) Planetary scripts to illustrate, and his intricate style must take a lot of time, but in comparison to his work earlier in the series and even within this work this issue looks shoddy by comparison. |
