Oh my god...

I know I don't post as much as I should, and that I mostly just lurk these days, but the past week I've been all "Let's see what's on Barbeli- oh wait. Damnit..."

I mean, Barbelith is my home page for christ's sake...

Ahhh. That's much better. This temporary Barbe-lack has given me the impetus to try to post more than twice a month or something.

I agree. It was nice to get a bit of a break, as I have just opened a new group home/treatment center as the Director, and I feel as if I should get back to having an internet social life.

Ah, shit, and I had so much work to do today, as well.

Welcome back, Kotter.

Hurray! What a nice surprise to find Barbelith back! So much has happened in the last week - could it be my life moves faster when Barbelith's not here? Who cares, I'm glad it's here.

I'll save getting upset about the fact that YOU ALL CARRIED ON BEHIND MY BACK AT A DIFFERENT WEBSITE until we've all settled in a bit.

I'd forgotten about TMO. That was weird not having Barbelith there. Glad it's back. Thanks Tom.

All this time I've been thinking that Barbelith was sapping my productivity (sp?) but it turns out I'm just slothful. Also got off to a bad start on TMO when I discovered several seconds after registering that I couldn't change my user name (or, that I couldn't see how to...)

Thank you, Tom!

I'll save getting upset about the fact that YOU ALL CARRIED ON BEHIND MY BACK AT A DIFFERENT WEBSITE until we've all settled in a bit.

Too right, Sax. Having never heard of TMO, I drifted round the net like a LOSER. Mostly caught up on the Barbeblogs an' such. Also became convinced that LiveJournal is the Devil (no offense to any local LJers).

OccultForums, Byrne Robotics, MillarWorld, the DC boards: all made me realise what a goodgoodgood thing we got here.

Never change, Barbelith. I luv ya.

To be honest, I felt a bit like that too! I kind of wandered over to the Moon Online, but I didn't have time to register and get settled and everything. And I couldn't even FIND the Temporary Nexus.

I too couldn't find the Temporary Nexus, and as I hadn't been invited to TMO like what everybody else had, I also had to resort to reading barbeblogs.

You people really should update them more often, you know.

I am not so alone as I once was.

You people really should update them more often, you know.

I'm among that crowd, and am sorry. Soon and very soon comes a post with my recent Barbelith dreams. Guest appearances by Keggers, Gypsy Lantern and Mordant Carnival!

That's why I use deadjournal. You know, it's the same, only cooler.

Sweet Monkey of Darwin that was a scary week. Big up respects and primate excretions to The Almighty Coates for returning the 'Lith to life like a tattered zombie prince.

Big Brother's just not the same without Ganesh and co.

Well, I stuck the link to TMO in Tom's blog comments.

Here, bookmark these, and join Temporary Nexus while you think of it.

Phew. And I'm only a lurker. I can't imagine the horrors you REAL addicts have been through.

What in the name of increasinglywackhomeandawaystorylines is TMO? is it (cogs clunk into action) the Moon Online? a bit like methadone?

Yep, The Moon Online, it is.

It's the stomping ground of sometime 'Lither, and Batman scholar, Kovacs.

So what happened?

I just touched down from planet Glastonbury and apparently something transpired in my absence.

I tell ya, I take my eye off the ball for a few days, and look what happens. All hell breaks loose.

I suddenly realise how much i lurk on Barbelith- even when i'm not posting its certainly nice to read.

a quick thanks to Ganesh for his vitally huge Big Brother catch up post- really nowhere covers it quite like Barbelith- made my day.

Oh yeah and a big thanks to Tom for getting the new speedy server up and running- I really hope your holiday wasn't fucked up to much worrying about the kids - having burnt the house down in your absence.
