I'm so hyped about this. "American Psycho" is one of my favorite films ever, and although it's slightly less effective then the book it's based on I still think it's a great adaption. I'll be interested in hearing Harron's commentary: She's one of my favorite film directors, even though she's only done two films (her third film, about Betty Page, is in the works). She's great at evoking time periods, that's for sure. And Christian Bale is so great as Patrick Bateman: Funny, scary, sexy, the works. It's a very funny film, with tons of great lines. I wonder what the deleted scenes will be... |
