Starts off symbolically breaking the ties of a relationship because of the revelation of the proverbial snake in the grass.A truth was found out,perhaps an imposter.They have ended a relationship.The ties are cut,represented by scissors.The chains that bound him to this person are lying limp on the ground could signify a ritual cleansing ceremony of some kind.
I think they're trying to link the subject of the song to the grail romances.
'again and again,the protagonist - by intermarriage with this family,by his own lineage or both-became lord of the grail and everything connected with it.On this level,at least,we seemed to be dealing with something of a concrete historical character.One can become lord of a castle or a group of people.One can become heir to certain lands or even a heritage.But one cannot become lord or heir to an experience.
This is confirmed in the last shot,a zoom in on the part of the tree called 'Tiphereth'.

For Medieval Cabalists initiation into tifaret was assocaited with certain specific symbols.These included,a hermit,or a guide,or a wise old man,a magestic king,a child,a sacrificed god.In time other symbols were added as well-a truncated pyramid,for example a cube and a rose cross.The relation of these symbols to the grail romances is sufficiently apparent.In every Grail narrative,there is a wise old hermit-a Perceval's or Parzival's uncle frequently -who acts as a spiritual guide.'

So the video is basically about a girl saying that -'there is no one alive who knows how I felt when I got dumped by this cold hearted bastard.'
And I'm not so sure about the vampire references any more,I think she just digs ceremonial magick and wearing black.Mmmmm.
