I'm curious to hear anyone's experience with their magickal practise and speed - that is, amphetamine, methamphetamine and the galaxy of ADD-prescribed pseudo-speeds (Adderal, Ritilin, etc). Does the enhanced concentration better your 'workings?

I suppose I'm also interested in general accounts by 'lithers with ongoing i.e. daily stimulant use. Note that the stress here is use rather abuse; I'm not especially concerned with accounts of the five day meth run that ended with you flipping a paddy wagon barehanded (well, I am, but maybe another time).

Anyone?

It's caused me to get wacky before, but I haven't used it for magick. I still have some adderall lying around (prescribed!), and will try it when I get some time.

Hmmm... Billy is fun to dance with, but he brings out the all-mouth-and-no-trousers blessed-wannbe in me. I have great ideas for spells and workings, make fantastic connections, and talk some wonderful fights.

The next day, wrecked and dry-mouthed: writing it all down just seems like too much hassle, let alone putting anything into practice.

And then when the comedown's gone, it's usually taken the inspiration with it.

Sticking to coffee for now.

A tape recorder possibly, as opposed to the written word ?

Then again, you'd have to listen to it the next day I suppose - I once tried this with mushrooms, and while it was interesting to hear myself explaining the reasons why I felt I'd swapped my soul for a new stereo, and had now moved into another dimension very similar, but also, crucially, subtly different to the one we live in, from which there was no possible return, I'd kind of remembered about all that anyway.

I have since 'recorded over' the tape, although thinking about it, it might be quite funny to listen to it now - Oh well.
