Does anyone ever read these big old spoilers from Cons?

At the Wizard World Con this past weekend loads of rumors spilled from the copious cheesesteaks of Queseda and Didio.

Does anyone care?

I can repost some DC/Marvel/Ultimate Marvel rumors and spoilers I found online here if anyone's interested.

There wasn't as much big stuff as I'd think. Sure, the Kuberts are at DC. Eh, they're alright.

The best thing is DC's new "Showcase" editions: the big "Essential" style b&w reprints of the Silver Age. And they're doing a Metamorpho one? I'm so there.

No kidding, excellent! I LOVE Metamorpho. He's a great singing talent as well.

My source is online so it's not direct or something others can't find out.

I want to know more about Infinite Crisis, but they're not really saying much about it (the "One Year Later" story idea sounds kind of lame and unnecessary...). All the House of M stuff leaves me cold.

are you saying that you can offer other info. besides what comic book resources and newsarama are reporting?

Nah, I was just going to post excerpts from cbr for those who don't feel like leafing through the pages.

But since Geoff Johns is leaving Flash and there are only two more stories after his departure (one by Darwyn Cooke), it doesn't look good for Wally. I'm not sure if there are any Flash readers here but that'd be a shame. Esp after all the work they did on his character.

I’m hoping the Flash stuff is just a bit of misdirection. While this is a Crisis, and while I confidently predict that Wally will indeed be killed off or retired at some point in the next ten years, I don’t think that time is yet upon us especially with a Wally movie rumoured to be upon the way, it would just be plain foolish to kill him off now. I’ve read and enjoyed Wally’s story since primary school and in a lot of ways I relish that Wakky is perhaps the only major Superhero I’m likely to outlive by many years, I just don’t think the time is right yet. Bill Messner-Loebs and Mark Waid built Wally up, Geoff John’s has built up his enemies, this book has only just come into the height of it’s powers. If another good superhero writer can be found for it then it could stay near the top of the superhero pile for good few years yet.

Ah! A Flash fan outed! I bought the old Mesner-Loebs issues back in the day. I loved those first few issues he did but don't recall much after them. Butch Guice's art was great fun (still is).

Wakky is obviously his twin brother who can skat super fast.

I agree that it would be a shame and Johns has gone on record that the David Goyer-penned film is brilliant but are we sure it's Wally? They're not going to... bring back Barry, are they?? With an Absolute edition of Crisis on Infinite Earths coming out soon... it makes me worry.

BillR, any other things you heard/saw at the con itself you'd like to share?

Hmm? Oh, I didn't go. I decided to skip it at the last second and go meet a girl.

Of course, the way things turned out, I would've been better off at the con...!

No, I just happen to read nearly every comics new site.
