Ok. Im making a basic template. Content box, header, and a row of links on the right. A blog. Now, Ive installed cutenews on my server and I want it to show up in the content box. A little help with the links would also be nice. Anyone? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I just want the damn site up and running.

What exactly do you need to know? I'm not great at the technical stuff but properly outline what you need to know and someone should be able to help.

I'd also suggest taking a look at the source on some standard blogs. I've found that very helpful when I've played with mine.

Well.. I need to know how to integrate cutenews with the template, i.e getting it inside the contentbox. Also need to know how to add links to the link section of the template.. does that make sense?

what what what

okay - you're using Wordpress now right? What do you mean, a "photoshop template"?

The style stuff for Wordpress is in wp-content/themes/(stylename). There are a number of php files there which you can edit. I don't know about cutenews... but there is some HTML code that it generates that you have in a file, you can use the include directive in sidebar.php or index.php or wherever you want to put it:

include("cutenews.html");

You may find somewhere that there are instructions for embedding cutenews into a PHP page - that's what you want to get hold of.
