If the books' sales were not good, I'm sure they would not even be considering an absolute edition. Plus, most Moore's stuff seems to sell very well on a long term basis. Watchmen has been in continuous print for ages, and Swamp Thing is currently all in print. In fact, you can now buy almost every major AM work save Marvelman and Brought to Light, and that's due to wrangling tied in part to Eclipse's desmise.
If the book had a circulation of 12,000, and the petition could reach, say 8-9% of the readers, then I think that this might motivate DC to get it into print while the iron is relatively hot. |
