Equinox Dreaming

Someone did a very nice thread three months ago for the solstice, during the peak sunspot activity, so I thought it might be interesting to check on your dreams at this corner of the year.

Personally, I've been getting a lot of memorable dreams, including a recap of last summer's duet with Whitney Houston, where I'm forced to sing "It's the End of the World as We Know It." to a crowd sitting in the Blair Witch house. Three nights running. No joke.

Most of my dreams end in the same way. Jumping off a cliff into a large ocean of lava, water, or hot soup.

my dreams lately have been bleeding into the news stories that come on in an attempt to wake me...

This morning I ws following a female companion over the side of a bridge to it's base where the river's tide had receeded enough to reveal the sea turtles playing in the shallows.

Eventually a alligator disguised as a man came along and attempted to impose do's & don't into the area at which point I adopted the posture of a sealion standing upright (in that mannor we've all seen seals assume... except i wasn't balancing a ball on my nose) and was now at eye-level to this fellow because of the very mossy rock I had perched myself upon...

At this point the scene shifted to that of a rather posh clothing store... lots of reds and burgundies... where the alligator/man was now a shoe sales man...

Most of my dreams I have very little to do with , I watch them as they happen... like a movie. Now I find myself having a new sort of dream, they are more like memories than dreams. I have had 3 of them now, and woken from all of them confused and in a cold sweat. Here is the catch, the person I am in the dreams lived a little over a hundred years ago. The one that came to me on Eqinox was by far the strongest, I woke up in tears. Has anyone else had dreams like this ? or is this normal and I'm simply a late bloomer.

Some years ago I got very into Past Life Regression... What you're describing sounds very much like that...

Have you been doing any such work? Or perhaps uprooting some more burries psychologicial aspects of yourself...
Assuming of course you give any credance to the concept...
There may be some factor that's uncovering some karmic past-life issues... something you're working on, something you're reading, Someone you met..etc.

That thought had crossed my mind. I would have an easier time with that if I didn't figure out who the person was. In the last dream I looked into a mirror and saw my reflection as this person. The only past lives that people I know have had have been, as one would expect, very run of the mill lives. Oh well, another story to add to the pile.

Well, somebody's gotta be the reincarnation of celebrities...

Although this is getting completely off topic, i'd like to briefly mention a pet theory of mine: If you believe in BOTH reincarnation, and certain physicists (jack sarfetti (sp?)) who believe time can run backwards as well as forwards, it's entirely possible that everyone, ever, is a reincarnation of each other. This seems to me to be the most logical way of getting round the argument against reincarnation regarding population increase.

Back on topic though: when exactly was the equinox? My dreams for the past while have been a little more complex/vivid than usual, but other than that, of no particular interest.

okay, i said I'd let you know if I dreamt anything interesting, and i had, something, at least worth mentioning. two things really.
first: on friday a friend of mine i'm in a band with suggested a (band)name change. at 8 or 9 on saturday i had a short nap and had a dream in which he suggested a name. not spectacular in itself, but my dreams are rarely that mundane or that practical or that direct in their attempts to solve problems for me.
second: later that evening, now aware of the fact it was the equinox, i went to bed and dreamt that i was performing some kind of magickal ritual, with about 4 other people. something to do with summoning a spirit through me which affected another person who was (dead?/asleep?/not moving). At first i was cool with this, and then it started to piss me off, so I used a quick banishing technique (imagined a green bubble surrounding myself) and the rest of the group quit bugging me and i started dreaming about something else...
This second part is weird, as, being a relative newcomer to the whole magick thing, I've never dreamt about so much as a sigil, let alone a full blown ritual invocation. Part of me is tempted to wonder if this qualifies as some kind of astral plane work, or even to wonder if some of you guys (or maybe dabh) were involved in this. however, a more mundane explanation would be that it relates to the fact that i recently learnt that a friend of mine was part of a 'pagan group' and was considering joining to get help with developing my magick-skills, especially with regard to entity/spirit based work, and was vaguely concerned that the others might not be so happy with my pseudo-scientific/chaote perspective...
Any thoughts?

Its been a few days since the equinox now and the times always screw with my head being that this is an international place but anyway...

Yes I have been having unusual dreams lately. Normally I have very vivid dreams and often I have "big" dreams too. But lately I have been sleeping eratically and waking up from a disturbing dream. Then going back to sleep and the dream restarts. Then after all this I tend to wake up very groggy, as if the experience has drained. Often these type of dreams deal with my fears and insecurities. I can't remember any right now. But if I do I'll post 'em.
