I am a Midwest yank that will find himself moving from Gatwick to Stanstead on the 18th of May; I will be in London-town early and be leaving on the last express train to Stanstead to slumber amongst the dispossessed catching an early flight to Berlin.

Anyone want to set up a gathering on the 18th? A round, or two?

Hmmm, Gatwick to Stanstead... having never flown in those magickal boxes in the air before I know nothing of the route between these two places, but presumably somewhere near to whatever train stations run from London to Stanstead are what we are looking for here. Anyone?

The Stansted Express runs from Liverpool Street, doesn't it. So maybe somewhere around there would be sensible. People like Spitz, don't they?

Just off Brick Lane, behind Truman's Brewery. About comparable in price to the Spitz, I suppose, but much nicer than a Wetherspoons.

It looks like the Big Chill Bar then! Wi-fi being a strong selling point. Someone care to post directions? Anyone wish to select a time to meet up there (or range of times). I must be able to catch an evening train to Stanstead, that is my only restriction. I’ll be the 5’10” guy (late 20s) with the long brown hair and glasses, speaking with an American accent.

Well, I have a couple of errands to run but I can be there mid-late afternoon, say 4-5ish. I'll be wearing black and green: black cords and t-shirt, green cardie and belt (I just decided this to make me easier to find). I have curly hair, and I'll be the one with the iBook trying to resist the siren call of the polenta fries and strawberry cocktails... (there are pictures of me in the photo thread, if that helps)

4-5ish it is, I will be wearing a grey Psychic TV T-shirt, Jeans... Long brown hair (pulled back) and glasses (a bit of scruff as well)... I am looking forward to landing in London town. I will begin a new thread on here soon, as I will be leaving London for Berlin, if anyone is living there or heading there this summer drop me a line...
