Non-music radio

As time goes on I'm finding I'm listening to more and more non-music radio - BBC Radio Five Live is producing the goods for me as far as rolling news goes (plus the best film reviews out there) While individual programmes in Radio 2, 3, 4 and 7 have caught my interest. I've also been downloading stuff like the Reith Lectures (this year focused on the fields of science and technology)

What is perhaps slightly unusual is that I seldom listen to the radio on the radio but in the form of live internet streams and MP3 podcasts - listening as I work...

What I'm interested in is if other people out there are listening to anything other than music radio... anything more adventurous than talk radio phone ins? Outside of NPR, which is probably somewhere between Radio 4 and Five Live, is there much in the way of non-music radio in the states? I've listened to Air America Radio and frankly I wasn't too impressed. I'm glad it's there and all, but it seems to be simply an unsophisticated inversion of Rush Limbaugh's crap (and no, I won't link to that drug-taking hypocrite)... but I digress...

So, anyone listen to non-music radio and have and podcast audio stream links they want to share?

I have Radio 4 on almost constantly- and I'm totally addicted to The Today Programme. I just love the sheer range of stuff you can hear in a day. This morning I accidentally caught a fascinating documentery about the singing dogs of New Guinea. Now there's a thriller on.
The average quality of comedy on R4 is a fuck sight higher than it is on TV (even if you only count the BBC) as well.
